Default Help Choosing: 3 channel park flyer for car radio

I am looking to get into rc planes - and was thinking if I use my 3 channel car radio KO Espirit and all the bits with it (its on 27Mhz ok for plane use in UK). Then could I build a cheap or buy a rtf kit and use my current rc setup to start off... I was looking at some of the rtf with elevon mixing or are there some sporty aileron/elevator models out there - anyone got any links - something like a foamy cap but that would work ok on 2 controls/throttle only.... thanks

I know that two channels are used for throttle and steering. What is the third channel ued for? Just trying to figure out how to get elevator control for you.

Trigger - pull for elevator "up", push for "down".
Wheel - ailerons/rudder
3rd channel - could be used for throttle on/off with a microswitch.

I did this with a glider years ago. It worked, but you're much better off with a dedicated airplane radio.
