F27 Stryker brushless/prop combo
I have the E-Flight Park 400 (not the outrunner) brushless motor and would like to put it in my F27. Can this been done w/o a gear box? if so what size prop? I will be using a 1500mh lipo for battery.

You didn't say which Park 400, kv wise.
It probably would work, but how effectively, is an unknown. You would be looking at a very small prop due to the high rpm/low torque of the motor. Might be a bear to launch, but once at flight speed could perform well.

OK,I just ran some specs on it. Packs won't do it. Not enough capacity.
On a 3s pack with a 4x2 prop, you will be pulling 19.8 amps.
Motor does show some potential, with good set of packs to power it.

Stryker, align 430 xl, Tenergy 2200 3 cell 25C Lipo. What can the batteries take? I have a 5.5x2 that pulls 27 amps. I'd like to go with a larger speed control and run a larger prop?
I'm new to Lipo brushless and just started to fly again. I threw the Align on an old combat wing and it was very fast but limited to the 5x2 by current draw.
Anyone else running an align 430 XL on the Stryker? What speed control, batteries and prop?
Help before I blow up more good equipmnent! Thanks.
