Default Is my battery pack too much for a Slow Stick?

I just bought a Slow Stick with the EPS-300 motor and stock prop, also has an ICS-300 ESC. Question is, in the flight pack I bought was an 8 cell AAA 750mah 9.6v battery pack. Is this pack to much for the motor to handle? I don't want to fry the motor. I have other packs around like a 7.2v 1200mah pack I just bought for a Mini-T, which will work if I switch connectors on it.

Thanks for any input...

An 8 cell pack definitely burns out the motor if you use a 12X6 prop. You may use a 11X8 prop, but don't open the throttle all the way up. If you like the 8 cells, you should change the stock motor into a speed 400 with the "G" gear box and 12x6 prop. Besides that, you ought use a 15 amp ESC.

The 7.2 V 1200mah works great with the stock motor, but you feel like you need more thrust. I recommend that you use a 8.4V 1100mah with the stock motor or 8 cells with the speed 400.

I've been using an 8 cell 650 with a 10x 4.7 prop. I've had it for about 3 months now, no problems.
