Park Flyer Aero-Towing
Anyone here did any park flyer aero-towing with the little LO-100 sailplane? I was thinking Wingo tow plane, but the pusher prop would kind of be in the way since you are supposed to tow from the top of the plane behind the wing(I think)
Any help would be appreciated

Storch
I am thinking of getting the Robbe Fiesler Storch, Its suggested as being perfect for aerotow with the LO 100. Cant seem to find anyone with experience of the Storch though??? I also would suggest locating the tow anchor point on or very near to C.G.

I'm not so sure you attach the cable to the CG...
On full size glider tows in my area, they just attach the cable to the tailwheel, since that portion of the plane is already beefed up.
But, then again, I may be wrong.

You are right that your tow line should be attached to the tow plane on the top, anywhere from the CG point to near the back of the wing. You so not want to attach the tow line to the tail wheel. The position of the plane being towed is going to be above that of the tow plane and you will end up in a condition that will make it all but impossible to control the tow plane.
When we did the aerotowing with the Fatty Sparrow as the tow plane and the Habicht (3oz flying weight) as the glider we had to fly the Fatty S at a high angle of attack in order to keep the speed down. It all worked very well after a bit of practice. Keep the tow line light and fairly long.
Good Luck,
