Yak-1 advice wanted...
I just ordered a Tdl Model Systems Yak-1 I did some digging and found a hot and affordable power system for it. Will be running a 400DF outrunner brushless spinning a 5.5x2.5apc on 3s1p 1800 lipo's. Should according to what I've read put full power peak amps at 19amps which is under or over the 18-20amp rating you see these motors rated.
However it's over 200 watts and over a 1:1 thrust to weight ratio so should only need full power for launches. I did a search and didn't see much on these models so I take it they're not too popular. Or just not well know. I just couldn't resist a Yak-1 and also got the Ki-61 Tony racer. I think I paid $60 for both with S&H from the same dealer on E-bay.
I think these are supposed to be racers so I might be in the wrong thread. Since according to motocalc it should hit well over 50mph on such a small model. Would need a lot of park to fly it in.
