Has anyone bought / Flown one of these from hobby-lobby?
Any suggestions?

2. Cessna 182 ARF Aileron Trainer

Thanks

I have not flown any of them, but I am curious about the Skymaster and the dual props. I like that one the most. Just has a better look to it.

Whats your opinion on the Parkflyers.com Cessna 182 4 ch RTF all incl for $180 ? Has a good review by Greg Covey of RCU...
I feel it is the best cessna park flyer by value for money....Might get that!
E-flite Cessna comes to more than $250 incl motor radio etc...all incl to make it RTF....So there is about a $70 to $100 diff between my top 2 cessnas in list !! Havent made up my mind yet!

If you get the park flyers cessna get it without any of the radio equipment. Very glitchy, I use JR electronics in mine and have never had a problem since!

Definitely don't get the ParkFlyers Cessna 182 with the stock radio equip (RTF Version). I have the plane and I highly recommend it, it flies nice once you work out the kinks, but the radio equip. is just about worthless. I believe it is the TX, it just cuts out. You can get all of the parts required for the plane for about $80, then spend about $100 on a nice 4 channel radio, and about $20 on an ESC, and about $20 on a nice motor ($10 for a stock motor). So for $220 you have a failsafe cessna, well worth the $40 extra bucks in my opinion, I learned the hard way.

I had lots of glitch problems with a "no-name" RTF radio. Re-routing the servo and ESC wires away from the battery leads helped. Running the ant. wire outside of the fus. helped even more (ant. wire WAS wrapped around the metal elev. control rod). However, the unit still glitched. Switched over to an entry level Hitec Tx and have not noticed any glitching since. I think that no name RTF radios should stand for "Ready To Fail".
