Default Super Cub ADM problem

Are you suppose to have to turn off the transmitter to drop?
I push what I thought was the xport button and it turns off the motor but does not drop the parachute, but when I turn the transmitter off for a second it does drop.
I believe the manual says throttle down for a second but that doesn't work either.

Am I the only one with this problem, I don't want to risk it in the air.

Try holding the button a little longer, it should drop the shute, just make sure you have enough height first, mine also cuts the motor, but then lets the shute go ... good luck... R/C FLYR

With the x-port, the motor always cuts out when you activate the button. My Aerobird Challenger would release just fine when the plane sat on the ground with the motor off. In the air, with the motor running, pressing the button would stop the motor, but the parachute would not release. Never could get it to work properly.

Mine won't work on the ground properly so I didn't even try using the button in the air, I just turn off the transmitter for a second and it releases, I will call Hobbyzone Tuesday about it though.

Turning off transmitters while operating r/c is a very bad thing. I can cause havoc with controls. That is why all the manuals on anything r/c tell you the rule radio on first and off last, all the time.

I bought a drop module for my SC but haven't tried it yet.

Later...tried the module. Wouldn't work on the ground, but when it was airborne it released if you hold the button down for a second. It does cut the motor so make sure you are on an appropriate glide path. I mounted it with the magnet forward so that wind tends to pull it open.

Ok, this is odd, second time out with the drop module, couldn't get it to work at all, even holding the button a long time. Guess I too will call Hobbyzone on Tuesday.

Have had this problem too. HobbyZone sent out a new receiver but that didn't do it. The module worked on my Slo-V so I don't think it is the module. The transmiter maybe? When I push the button I hear a noise that would indicate activity in the radio. Open to sugguestions...

When I pushed it I noticed that besides cutting the motor it moved the elevator servo a slight bit and that was it

It looks like the third time is a charm. I changed out the receiver two times and now my drop module works. Not sure why or what was wrong but the third radio allows my drop module to work. Hurray! Now I need to drop something. Fortunately Hobbyzone took care of these at no charge.
