Default Help!!! Servo Choice for GWS Beaver or Moth

I have a JR XF631 Radio with the 537 Ball bearing servos and a R700 7 channel reciever, and was wondering if the beaver or moth could handle this set up.

I have one Pico flight pack on order, and was wondering if I needed to order another, or if I could use the radio's stock equipment.

I also have an extra 2 amp GWS ESC to use with the stock equipment if possible.

I want to build noth kits, but not sure if I should just bite the bullet and get to pico sets or not.

Please respond ASAP.

Thanks

Anything over 6 gram servos is just a waste of weight in small models like the GWS stuff.

The Beaver can handle the weight of most servos but the 2A ESC won't work. You need the GWS100 for the Beaver.

I have two Moths and I would go with the pico. you want to save wieght for a bigger batt. The batt that comes with the pico set is junk. Get a 500 Mah NiMh, this will require you to make the batt slot bigger, but will give you much better air time. Loop and loop. also use 5 min Epoxy instead of the tape that comes with it. this will make for a much tougher plane that can handle....some wind. I said some....
