Wattage Tubby Cubby
Hey Electric guys. I have a wattage tubby cubby that has been sitting in the box for about 4 months now. Does anyone have one of these or know someone who does. I wonder if it is even worth building. I have had no luck with electrics except for the hitec sky scooter. It just seems easier to me to fill a tank up with glo fuel and take off. The others have been cheap RTF hobbico junk. Hopefully someone can give me some insight on the Tubby Cubby as there isn't a thread on it for me to research. Thanks everyone.

i haven't seen any of the tubby cubbys, but i flew one of their other products (the mini max) and wasn't too impressed. the gws cub flew much nicer for a newbie like me...the thing I like about electrics is that i just have to walk out my front door to fly in the open field just past our front yard...i gotta lug my glow planes out to the back 40 to fly those...if u do try the cubby and bought the wattage batteries, be careful of the connectors. I bought 2 packs with my minimax and both had bad connectors ) they looked ok and charged ok, but on the first flight, they disconnected..the wire was not crimped into the connector and during the slight shofting in flight, they disconnected, leading to the early demise of the plane. and dont count on wattage customer dis-service to help...for my money, i'm buying gws from now on..

Hey Lookinup, 1st off what is that thing in your avitar? I have a chihuahua/terrier mix the looks just like it!! 2nd if your used to glow than you will probably be bored the the tubby, I like my GWS stick because I walk up to the schoolyard with it...if you can fly it close to home than it may be different..or build it, take it out to the field and see if anybody can fly into it and take it out!!!
either way its not doing anything sitting in a box.......

flyinrog, The Avitar is my dog Daisy she is a hairless chinese crested. She is very sweet and you don't see to many of them around. Cost me an arm a leg but my wife and I love her dearly. I think your right about being bored with it and that is the main reason I haven't put it together. Maybe I'll save it for a year or two and give it to my nephew when he is old enough to fly.
