Got a email back about the delta I had ordered, (Tates) the stock said there was one left but they cant find it.. Wont be in untill next year....
Modified the bipe, bigger prop, engine re-sponded to tuning much better, heaps more pull and the horiz stab grew 6 inches..
Cut open the Calo after the mid air last week, Damage? needed 3 glue spots. Unlike the H9 P 51.
Bloody wind it hasnt backed off since sunday..Will fly the Bipe 20-30 knt wind wont upset it..
had a play with the FPV system...Freaky....

Looks like only kits from the Aus HK site... no parts [:@] But from some of the reviews the delivery looks super quick I get twitchy when my stuff takes more than a week to arrive.... still waiting on stuff ordered from China HK last week.

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!
Hey guys Look at this...
My new speed racer.. OS46 10x6[X(]
and the Calmato suffered a major radio glitch just as I released the tail. Just as I started her she glitched the throtle servo was either at low or high, shutdown and checked all was well thought it was a sticky servo. I was lined up for take off at WOT the boys sent the Jetiger off and was off aswell, as soon it started doing the ground run she was out of controll, she did lift then banked hard nose down.
Cause unknown yet. But the 1st glitch was when the DF was run up and then failed as both were released. May be noise from the ESC on the Jet..
The same TX was used on the bipe with no problems...

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!
Just checked the radio system. Dead. wriggled the power switch and it flashed. stripped the switch down and its full of smoke oiland has burnt contacts. this did leak during the week. The damage done by the dead landing last week cracked the fuse and the amount of oil soaked into the fuse was making it unrepairable, So I just filled the joints up with epoxy.
Did say this was prob going to be the last flight before the fuse breaks up mid air but it was over in 5 secs..
Bit peeved that the cam shut down at the start of this flight..Dont know why as it recorded the next 5 flights ok...

Ouch! Where's the rest of it?
Not too much flying for me this weekend, but I did build and maiden my latest bird - a DIU slope soarer. Now I can still fly when it's windy
Jaav did you get your HK NSW order yet? Mine is still not here after 2 weeks.

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!
The ones I wanted were sold out when I ordered them. gave up waiting so they are coming from HKong.
the Viper. This whats left. The engine has been cleaned and is soaking in ATF to stop the rust untill its striped. The crank case is split you can see it starting from the carby mounts..Like the aileron servo being pushed through the wing.

Rowdy I think others are getting their orders in good time. Mine had two planes so I had to pay an extra $15 postage (after the order). After a week they sent a dispatch email but nothing showed up. Now NSW warehouse don't think they did send them but they dunno for sure. Total stuff-up. Compare to my eflypower DIU DLG ordered from China last Monday night and on my doorstep Friday morning!

RE: Electrafun XP Review/Thread!
Hi All....
I was planning on building a big wing for my ElectraFun out of foam board the other night something around 1.5 meters.... but while I was digging around for stuff I came across two old EF wings that I had retired due to folded wingtips. (My current EF wing has a thin carbon fiber strip from tip to tip so wing folds are no longer a problem).... anyway, it turns out the folds were on opposite sides of each wing, so I cut off the offending bits and gluded the two together, much quicker and easier than me building a wing from scratch. The wing is now 1.6 meters from tip to tip.
I have also changed the motor on this EF, previously I had an outrunner mounted inside the fuse, but I wanted to try a different motor so I have now made a wooden bulkhead inside the fuse and can now mount the outrunner on the outside. It's much more solid now and dont get the vibrations that I used to. I will post a couple more photos when I get a chance.

Rowdy, that's great! It looks like it flew well. Nice camera work and commentary as usual. So did it feel much different to fly?
