I was wondering if anyone has built and flown a Butterfly from GreenModelUSA.com? They have several versions and I have got mine on the way with brushless power. Just wondering if anyone might be able to tell me what I can expect as far as ease of flying goes. Thanks for any input...JJ

RE: GreenModelusa.com
I've seen one fly but don't have one.
This is an absolute winner, from what I saw - a true "slow flyer". The one I saw had the standard motor - it could only be better with brushless. That'll eliminate any sound from a gearbox and make it nearly silent as well as smooth.
You'll have no trouble flying this model at ALL - it's designed after the "Playboy" models of the early RC days. In short, it's kind of a free-flight-type model that's been converted to RC. If you simply give it full throttle, it'll take off and just go straight ahead and keep climbing (if it's properly trimmed). Turns are very simple. Just give SMALL rudder/elevator inputs and it'll be very docile.
I'd never seen the floats before, didn't know they were an option. THAT looks really cool - I may just look into one of these myself!

Thank you very much for the input! I only have a couple of acres to fly on next to my house and I don't want to have to travel into town just to fly with a bunch of "experts" ! Thanks again and have a Great Week-End...JJ
