This little plane is a thing of beauty and I have a feeling it's going to be another home run for Parkzone/Hobbyzone much like the Challenger, Stryker, Mustang, and the list goes on. Great thing about their birds is the parts are cheap and found on most store shelves, so you could buy the body parts without electronics and throw your own in fairly cheaply. I might, or I'll hot wire a clone out. Somebody needs to measure the thing and post the numbers so I can clone it. [8D]

I wish I would have seen this price before I pre-ordered, $164.98 instead of $219.99!

Wow. The prices on their website are almost too good to be true. Does anyone have any experiences with them to report?

Should be a good plane! Z foam is now being used quite a lot thanks to the absolute PUNISHMENT the original stryker could take when they made the fuse Z foam. Fairly stiff, extremely glueable stuff. Brushless, 480 to boot. Should be a real powerhouse combined with the Lipo! AND FINALLY!!! A PARKZONE PLANE WITH LANDING GEAR!!!!

I love Horizon's RTF branches (Parkzone, Hobbyzone, some Eflite) because they always seem to give us what we want in their next aircraft. The 2.4ghz in the CX2 was awesome and now the new Micro Cessna will have it too. Great company. I work at my LHS and I'll try and get the official ETA on this bird.

[sm=spinnyeyes.gif] This is driving me crazy, they keep pushing it back for release. Now it's set for Late August, 2007 []

Yup... Pushed back again. I'm hating it just as much as you guys are. Especially if you live somewhere that you cant fly in the "off season" due to weather. We can fly pretty much year round here in Sacramento CA, but its alot less appealing in the colder temps and wind. Hopefully they will make the release in time for colder ares to still fly it this year!!

I don't know whats going on this summer but I got my E-flite p-38 in the beginning of june and i just got my speed controlers last week. they were ordered at the same time !!! There seems to be a problem gettining the parts out or the demand for electronics for rc airplanes has just gotten too great. I have been waiting for my Trojan to come in too and I hear the same release date as being the 20th of august. SIX DAYS TO GO !!!! CAN'T WAIT !!!!

On the Horizon site, they are showing late September for the RTF and late August for the PnP, but if it is a repeat of July, the PnP will show late September any day.

MyRCSupply.net now shows Sept 14th for RTF and Aug 20th for PnP. Shoot...looks more and more like a Christmas present each time they change the date.

How much is this gonna really be a park flyer? The wing loading is a bit higher than I would expect for a park flyer.

Thanks!

I really hate to say this but, I'm going to get my money back, if they delay the release of this aircraft again. I pre-ordered it way back in june and I'm starting to loose my feeling for buying it.[:@][>:][][&o]

I am loosing the excitement of this model, however for $177 shipped it comes with brushless, lipo, lipo charger, reciver, and 4 Ch Transmitter (this is not as important to me since I have a 9CAPS).

I thought about going with the PnP but for a small amount extra you get all of the above.

Hi Guys,

I put a call in to our rep from PZ.
I asked him to please keep us well informed on the release date for this item.
I also asked if we are going to end up unwrapping this item from under our trees later this year, and he assured me that we should be fully stock before then..

We will keep you guys up to date with any changes that we find out.

Thanks for all your support. Let us know if you need anything.

N7OR,

Yes $177 shipped with the optional insurance for the RTF version! Excellent price!!! Just go to myrcsupply.net and place yours on back order, or you can get the PnP for $121 before shipping (about $135 w/shipping). I elected for the RTF since the LiPo on horizon's website is $60 alone, plus I need a charger and reciever.

Can anyone verify what radio the trojan will come with? Horizonhobby specs says 5 channel, but the model number (zx10) listed on Horizonhobby appears to the same 3 channel that comes with the Supercub, and finally the Horizonhobby parts list shows this one: [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=PKZ4341]http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=PKZ4341[/link]
but doesn't give any specs.

What is the scoop?

I've been kicking around the idea of ordering one of these T28's... OR a Spitfire.
The delay in delivery is pushing me in the Spitfire direction... but knowing my luck, the T28 will be released the day after I order the Spit.

Maybe I'll just "Get BOTH"

I highly doubt it's the same radio as the Cub... The T28 appears to have ailerons, rudder and elevator controls... So that rules out a 3-channel setup.
