4CH ELECTRIC ARF FOR BEGINNERS!!!
OK, SO I HAVE THE FOLLOWING SETUP LYING AROUND THE HOUSE.....
1) HACKER A20-22L BRUSHLESS MOTOR
1) HACKER X-20 BRUSHLESS 20A SPEED CONTROLLER
2) TP 1320 11.3V LIPO'S
4) HITEC HS-55 MICRO SERVO'S
1) HITEC MICRO 555 RECEIVER (5CH)
1) FUTABA T6EXAP 6 CH COMPUTERIZED TX
I'VE HAD THE SETUP IN A COUPLE OF PLANES INCLUDING...
AN E-FLITE 4CH ELECTRIC CESSNA
http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/Re...arts%20Listing
AND
AND RCX ILLUSION
BOTH GOOD PLANES, BUT I WANT SOMETHING VERY EASY TO FLY SO I CAN HAND THE CONTROLS OFF TO A BUDDY WITH A LITTLE BIT OF SIM TRAINING AND NOT WORRY TOO MUCH ABOUT HIM PUTTING IT IN THE GROUND RIGHT AWAY......I WAS THINKING MAYBE A PARKFLYER POWERED PARACHUTE OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES....ANY HELP?

Seems a good setup for a GWS tigermoth or even an e-starter maybe a multiplex minimag? any of them when setup properly should fly hands off for quite a while in still air.

If you left off one of the channels, a Slow Stick would be a great choice for a beginner. Things happen slowly with a Slow Stick, giving him time to react. He will definitely not need full throttle with your setup, but if you're experienced, you'll enjoy it since it makes the Stick more wind friendly. Mine is standard brushed, but I'll be building a second one brushless very soon.
Put the rudder and elevator on the right, throttle on the vertical axis of the left.

can a slow stick handle a setup like that, seems like a bit overkill??? but i have been looking at the slow sticks from time to time. didn't think they could handle the a-22 motor with the 1300 mah lipo, it's a really hot setup to me.

brewerpaul, so you think a slow stick could handle my setup? i know it would be a little hotter setup, but i'm a little worried about the weight.

just 2 cents to ponder. I'm no expert, but your setup is close to what i use. weight shouldn't be a problem for any stick. 3cells on that is
'Hot",but she will still fly with a 2 cell 1000mah ."if your not worried about speed". that cuts the weight. cuts damage in a crash too. I still use both battery's 3 cell on windy days.
