Default Brushless motor question

I'm new to the whole B/L motor deal and new to planes in general.I have a P/K FW 190 and have put a brushless motor from a Stryker that I got from a friend. The plane is great to fly and I now want to build a brushless Spitfire.I would like to find a motor that is a direct fit to the stock gearbox. Can anyone give me some actual part numbers of motors that will work?I believe the Stryker is a 1800rpm/volt but not absolutely sure.I would like a motor of equal or greater power.

I'm going to take a guess but are you talking about the Park Zone Spit?
If so there is a forum right here, on it. Would be your best place to look for an answer.

I would take a guess also most are ditching the gearbox set up for an outrunner. Less to go wrong.

Yes I'm going with the P/K Spitfire.I thought about the direct drive option but being new to planes I'm not sure on the set up without using the gearbox. From what I've read you have to mount the motor with some down and right inclination.Just thought it would be easier going with the stock set up.

I've been looking at the RC Smart 4200 outrunner or a Mystery RC 4000 outrunner.Any thoughts?

Drop in motors I would recommend are the:

Aon 2815-3000 KV
E-flite 6 series 2700 KV

Any higher KV and your burning serious amps with a 3:1 GB and 10x8 prop. Any inrunner comparable to the 2 will work as long as the can size is no bigger than 28mm. The Aon is a direct drop in and the E-flite requires a small lip in the GB well be ground down with a dremel tool. That takes about 5 minutes. You will also need a replacement pinion for a 3 mm shaft. This is the pinion I use.

Robinson Racing pinion 32P 12T.

This pinion has a perfect mesh + a setscrew. Forgot to mention a 35 amp BL ESC.
