Terry,
That insulation sounds great, how does it compare pricewise?

AJ,
That's one of the tradeoffs of E-power to gas power. Fuel and fly, or charge and ................ZZZZZZZZZZ

Stupid RCU - Deleted my posts - TWICE !!!

Phil: The AttiCat fiberglass is about $50 more for 1000 sq ft. Well worth it since it will not settle like the cellulose.

AJ: This is the charger I got for the Rex. Will do 2 4000MAH 3C packs in about 2 hrs (and has a built in balancer):

AJ,
I have, oh wait, Mac has it for now, the Polyquest dumb charger. Does 4 packs at a time. Thing is, if you set it for a 3S 2100 mah lipo it automatically charges at max amps which in my case is 2.1 amps. Me no likey that so I asked Mac to set it for 1700 or 1800 mah packs to lower the amp charge rate. I prefer a max charge of 75%. I suspect that a 1700 setting on this charger would be close.

Buzz,
Charging always takes a long time for me. Pending what I'm trying to do, such as cycling, it takes forever. I start at .75 amps and increase to .85 amps and continue till I hit 1.5 amps.

Hmm. I'm expecting a box to be delivered today also. Can't wait.

Terry,
I almost lost the last post. Do the copy/paste thing and use "reply" instead of the quick response thing.

Heck no. Let it run a while longer.
But...I do like the intro that we used for this thread. It gives folks an idea of who we are. We can just eliminate the author. OK by me since it's not about me.

well it's 3.40am and i got up early again today, 2.30am, but i did start sleeping at 3pm yesterday. however wind is forcast as 10-15 for today and tomorrow, so hopefully not more than 8-9mph by 8.15am, my flying time. planning on taking the hyperion 1.2m edge and typhoon d/f jet, both second flights, f18 hornet, gws p40 and ms composits epp 3d profile blade dancer, so about an hour of flying including bungee launching the two jets. i lost control of the hornet on a go around last time, so i hope today's flight is better.

seems like quick reply isn't working again. boy this is a high maintenance forum[:@]

art tech su27 should be turning up today, it's taken 2 days to come from Tokyo. hopefully it wont come while i'm out. also my order from aircraft should show, but as it's a small packet, the courier usually just leaves that in the mail box. this is including my super hyperion t shirt and cap for flying hyperion planes

UPS shows delivered... Hmm me thinks he's not home from work yet. Boy I bet his wifey might be a little steamed... Oh, and I didn't send the PM's to everyone, but there were a few who still wanted to contribute after all of the funds had already been gathered,, So, we also bought him two HS-77 servos for the ailerons, 2 hs-625 servos for the rudder & elevator, & a shiny new Berg 7 channel receiver with channel 38 crystal (do you know how many darn pages I had to look through to find out what channel he uses?????[:'(] ) Now, to wait for him to get home from work & let the head scratching begin... Well, after the azz chewing from his wife takes place.... Price a guy pays for being a victim of our goodwill.

Gotta run, wifey, Gabby & I are going for a bike ride.

EDIT, actually I just got a UPS delivery confirmation email saying it was delivered at 12:33 pm at his front door......

Fahim, congratulations on your birthday pal!!! How old are you now, you seem like an old hand here these days.
Fahim, if you are about 15/16/17 years old take a look at a guy on the Australian BBQ thread, he's called Maiden-Crash or MC for short. He was/is a similar age to yourself and started on RCU about 2 years ago, maybe less. He started like yourself, self-taught and saved all his "pocket money" for planes. I'll cut a long story short - he is now one of the best flyers I have ever seen, you should see his vids of him flying his new PA Addiction, he can make it talk almost.
The point of all this chatter is that you can and are capable of doing the same. This goes for all the youngsters who drop-in here, Calvino, etc included. Just concentrate on what you want to do, and if you can't fly (windy) then build. If you can't build, use the SIM etc. But don't neglect your studies, you'll need to pay for all this somehow, a good job helps!!!
Right, here endeth the lesson, byeee.....

Ok......I'm not in trouble with Chris, as she read the note. Only she figured it was the guys from Lake County RC Club. Anyway she kept the secret, and even hid the box.......When I explained who it was from, she was completely taken.
You guys are too much. WAY TOO MUCH. I don't know what to say, as thank you seems so small. I can't believe you guys did this. Where did you find one?....I couldn't. Finances being what they are I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to do anything with this until next Spring and was really bummed. Now I really need to get butt in gear as I have to finish the Yak and still build the AT-6. And now the Ultimate. I'm speachless........Pat

OH, KEN........I'll need to send ya that motor , now.....
