Well son of a beach.
I just went to report my post and can't. That part isn't available to me or someone already did and the report link is removed? Dunno.
Someone needs to bite the bullet and report it. Sorry.

Ok, guys listen up.

If you think Ken is a pain you ain't seen nothing yet.

If your posts were deleted it's because YOU broke the rules, not Ken.

This is not a threat, it is a warning

Now play nice, or play elsewhere.

Geez A guy tries to do some honest gardening and share some stories and thus a Revolution is born.

I'd move for sure. People in need will still find us.

Guys....

When we are asking for explanations, getting pissy won't help.

Lets take the high road. (except Lou, of course)

I guess that solves that....... An RCU mod is directing us to find another place to call home...... SO the question is ....Where do we want to go?

Well guys, Pretty Boy Floyd has a point.

The problem is that WE HAVE ONE TOO.

WE HAVE HAD A LOT OF POSTS DELETED OF LATE AND ASK FOR A REASON WHY.

MinnFlyer,
What rule(s) were broken? EXACTLY?
And just for clarification, RCKen appears to have made up his own rules. Ask him to show you the deleted posts. Ask him why no email to the person explaining why the post was deleted that he didn't see a need for that email.
As an aside, in my opinion, your post looks like a threat to me.

At this rate I'll get home and the thread will be locked down. I vote for Hoss being the problem. I've had good dealings with depfife, one of you that are not working can try to scare him up and ask what's what.

Tim

And the real time monitoring seems to be occuring[X(]

Loubud,
I'll step in here right now and tell you directly to your face that I haven't deleted ANY posts in this thread, or this group of members, in quite some time. When I do remove a post I send a PM to that member to explain to them why their post was removed. I don't delete posts "for fun" or to make any points. I moderate these forums by the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_377662/anchors_377662/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#377662]RCU Community Rules[/link] , and not "my own rules". Whether you realize it or not, what we do as Moderators is constantly reviewed by the Forum Managers (Lightfoot & Depfife), the Site Administrator (Nathan), and Marc (RCAdmin), so no moderator gets to go off on his own crusades. If I had removed any posts it would have only been because they were not in accordance with the RCU Community Rules. But as I said at first, I haven't removed any of your posts.

As a point of reference, I looked back through this thread and the posts in question that have been removed were done so by our Forum Manager, Lightfoot. So if you have a beef it is with him. But I have done nothing at all to your posts.

Ken

Please do. The Admins love it when you bring their attention to a moderator that is doing his job.

As far as deleted posts go, I can see posts that have been deleted. I have gone back over 10 pages in this thread and, while there are a lot of deleted posts, NONE of them were deleted by Ken.

There is something you need to remember. This is not YOUR forum. It belongs to the owners of RCUniverse. They have rules. If you want to play here, you must follow them.

If you choose to view this as a threat, go right ahead.

The ball is in your court.

Fern,
DJ is correct. I considered reporting it to but think I'll wait to see what MinnFlyer thinks after he investigates this problem that in my opinion, I think RCKen has.

Or, RCKen can stand tall and explain it himself, right here on this thread. I'm especially interested in why a pic of Hops is deleted while 12 pages about beer in Watt remains. Different rules over there?
Or how about the mere mention of a popular Movie and it is deleted?

Tired. Back later. (Shoot. Not plane related. Must rephrase.)
Back later. Planes to build.

Lou,

Minn is not going to investigate Ken..... They are business partners in that mess of a site selling horrible videos( in my opinion) to new flyers. I vote to go.... and let those 2 explain to the owners of RCU where their advertising dollars are disspearing to

edit...off to fly the cub

Well, that is your opinion and you're entitled to it. But everyone that has bought them has had nothing but good things to say.

In any case, I AM still investigating, and I haven't found any of the aforementioned deleted posts. If you care to point one out to me, I'll be happy to take a look.

And I repeat, if you care to report me, please send the info to RCU members Nathan, Lightfoot or Depfife and they will take the appropriate action, if any, against me.

On a R/C note: Anyone ever see a ESC explode? I don't mean leak smoke, I mean flash of fire stuff [X(]

Happened to me Saturday. Was flying the TREX and POOF [X(][X(]

Managed to land it, but the ESC is TOAST!

Sooooo....... Need a recommendation on a new one. Specs needed:

80Amp minumim
Soft start feature
Cheaper than Align.
Programmable
Handles at least 6 cells
Do not need a BEC, am using a seperate UBEC for RX

Any thoughts? Was looking at this: http://www.swanghobby.com/product.ph...2&cat=8&page=1
Or maybe HC has one better / cheaper? Was also thinking of the Suppos....

help !

...
TE

Before we all get carried away.... I need help with an ESC!!!

Take a deep breath and exhale. No one is out to get you. You posts have not been deleted by Ken and everything will be ok. I have reviewed the thread as what Mini stated above is true. So lets be adults and if you have a problem, contact lightfoot and kindly ask him why they were deleted. You will get a lot further that way I am sure.

Of course we could just continue ranting and raving on a thread and eventually get yourself booted off the forum. But that would not be the course of action that I personally would choose.

terry, me too! i still have an esc that is causing the motor to sputter..and constantly goes through the arming process. unplugging from batt once or twice usually fixes it. any ideas?

got three packs in today with my designated windy-day flyer (a-t corsair). it was really breezy, but it may be my last chance to fly for the next couple of days due to an offshore low that will be stirring things up in our neck of the woods.

plane flew well, was able to enjoy the flying despite the wind. was able to easially hover the plane right over my head. noticed the last couple of times in high wind that i can't just reduce the power to set up a desent for landing, i really have to drive it down to the gound with forward stick. first two landings went great, roll-outs right at me feet. third one, had to take it around, and almost lost the plane right over me. brought it back and just dumped it. it flipped over but no damage. i am really happy with the way i bent the main gear (and used bamboo shims to keep the legs from moving in the mounts). this is a sweet flying plane, for sure.

really itching to order another model or two. i've got five up and running (flying) right now........hoping to add another next month.

This thread has gone OT enough. If you are that concerned with it. Send him a PM.

I will delete any further OT posts starting now.

-And dont be shocked or surprised if this thread gets cleaned up and posts deleted. You can report me..as I will be the one doing it.

Mike you're right. We're getting wound up. Rather then the he said/ she said thing, those who are saying they had deleted posts or altered posts, and I see some altered/edited just one page back by MinnFlyer, should get an answer direct from whomever did the deed.

If the posts are being deleted or altered, the person responsible owes it to explain his/her actions. If not to the poster but maybe to all the posters here so we all know what was wrong, so it won't happen again.

And it should be noted right on the forum, so nobody can say they didn't see it.

If the posts are being played with willy nilly, without explaination, then yes I agree with the posters that that is almost like discrimination.

Come on now, we're for the most part adults, ok some of us are old farts, but what kinda of example is this setting for the newbies.

Let's have the facts then we can all see and decide what happened and what needs done about it.

Ageed?
