Dang every one is so far from me haha this sucks yea your pretty far away... Im inthe east bay (Danville-San Ramon area) Your defenitally missing out on some great deals, for being 15 ive saved up quiet a bit of money on top of what I sell there I should come back with a huge trunk full of stuff. My plan is to drive there on saturday and then get up really early and set up my table and buy buy buy!!

To think of it now it wasn't really that bad of damage I just didn't want to deal with it so I threw on this wing I could have just used some of my flat carbon rod and glued it to the leading edge of both wing. Can wait to fly this one now! Id be happy to see your video!

Hmm interesting day we had

Looks like I missed the meeting, FD duty on Tues

I will say I hope we can continue as we always have and move forward, the comradery (spelling) that has been built here based on the ability to go OT and the fact that many of us actualy meet up and fly together is the only thing that keeps me here, it's what brought me here
The idea of having to stay OT is not real appealing to me as I think it would weaken the fabric that this thread is built of.

Diversity is what makes this thread work, it's not about any one plane or subject, it's about people and their love of this hobby, it's that combination of being able to learn and share what you know and then be able to share some other things about your day that make it FUN

Fun is why I come here
If I had to stay OT about the badius ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, well I don't even have a badius anymore

I do however have many other planes and FREINDS here and I want to keep it that way

Mark I'm good for Sunday at the airstrip, got the corsair all fixed up and the Ultimate is ready to go
I still might bring Fat Albert, he needs the dust blown off

Unless someone tells me not to....

I am going to order the 80A ESC / USB programming adaptor from HC.

What do you all think?

Terry, read my PM before you do.

As a Gist of what I wrote Terry, and from what he told me on the failure. The esc popped when he hammered the throttle. I'm thinking the surge over amped the even burst set up on the esc or he had a possible lack of cooling to the esc and it cooked with the excessive heat.

I suggested he needs readings at full throttle and also to take readings duplicating the first failure to see if either is causing an over amp condition. And also to check for adequet airflow over the esc in it's present location.

Anybody else?

Arrow,

Great Inverted SS flying, but what the heck happened to the Ultimate?[X(]

It looked just like my Cub when it went in. Never did figure out the cause of that crash, except possibly I stalled it going down wind. Hope she's OK.

Phil, no, with actually having to work I really haven't had time. I'm going to try and look at it this weekend.

Anyone else notice there are some names viewing the forum that aren't the regular ones?

If you're visiting, stop in and say hi, we enjoy the company.

GG,
I saw the names also. It almost looked like trollers following the Mods around.

Terry,
I agree with GG. I suspect you were running the Rex at 90% throttle and maxed the pitch and that fried the esc. Couldn't handle the amp load.

Terry, check Mike's last few posts. I recall him saying he was sick or had to go to the DR.

Ok, guys listen up.

If you think Ken is a pain you ain't seen nothing yet.

If your posts were deleted it's because YOU broke the rules, not Ken.

This is not a threat, it is a warning

Now play nice, or play elsewhere.

Am I the only one bothered by this not being deleted?

Thanks Pappy for the words about the SS. The Ultimate was being flown by BLK and he admits that he "just dumbthumbed it" into the ground. I shut the cam off because i thought thier was damage to the plane. He walked over to it, lifted it and looked and tossed it right back in the air. Flew out his battery and brought it in a second time for a grafeful landing in the tall grass.
To all the Badius boys: What I have read last nite before posting has made me leary of posting anything on the issues currently. However, as a "lurker Badius Member" I will openly admit I am deeply disturbed by the attention this thread has gotten. I read a few posts from the moderators and missed all the forum member posts. djnsayne, I too felt that minnflyers post was a open threat and not becoming of a volunteer member of this forum. I realize that things get typed in "the heat of the moment" so I have tried to refrain lately from posting as regularly as I used to.
I lurk here because I enjoy reading the banter as well as the HONEST info that is contained in these pages. That is what this thread IS about, not about censorship. The moderators have shown thier feelings and I am sure many of you before posts were deleted did also. I sincerely hope this can be worked out and life can resume......... here or elsewhere, I am an Official Badius Lurker and will continue to be so.

Arrow,

Wow, That's hard to believe that was a dumb thumb crash, as it looked like he was flying it so well. I would never had admitted to that. Just kidding, been there done that many times. Great news that it flew again with no repairs.

Don't just be a lurker, you are part of the thread. I read a lot too, and don't reply all the time, or even comment.

But sometimes I do comment and stick my foot in you know where. I can get in some trouble because of my opinions like all of us could. Better to just keep quiet when things get heated.

I also agree that they should delete that direct threat to all of us.

I also know a lot of these guys up close and personal, and I like to read what they do in their everyday lives too.

I'm sure if we leave it alone, it will go away like always.

Arrow & BLK
Since when did you two guys think you weren't part of this Family?

DJ, All
That post bothers me also. But what really bothers me is the deletion of DJ's other posts. He speaks about an ESC and it's deleted?

I reported that post and this is the response I got back

The RCU Administrator (Nathan) was involved with the cleanup of this thread. He reviewed the thread and removed all posts that weren''t appropriate. If he left this post in place then he feels that this is nothing wrong with it. If you disagree with this then I would suggest that you contact him directly as we are not going to override his decision.

No action taken.

Well now.
The test was posting a link to one of RCU's advertisers here on this thread.

The advertiser is Hobby King. A direct link to the place we can not name.

I'm getting a headache.
