Default CORSAIR COLOURS?

ok im tired of looking......

guys, there seem to be many shades of blue used on the corsairs ranging from light blue to an almost black.....

ive read and read and found the corsair was painted "sea blue", but by looking at pics this is obviously not the case....some yes, but what is that deep, dark, almost black, blue called. or something similar?

im doing a GWS corsair slope build, glassed, and i want to do it FAA style. these guys look almost black in pics. any suggestions would be great, thanks!

Default RE: CORSAIR COLOURS?

Testors Model Master 1917 (3oz. spray can) Dark Sea Blue - FS15042 is what I used on my GWS Corsair and my 1/72 scale static model. I believe that is the actual military color name for it. It''s a real dark dark blue. Looks great with a nice bright yellow ring on the cowl and bright yellow tips on the prop.
