Default Parkzone T-28 Trojan vs F4U Corsair

Other than the radio and looks, does anybody think there will be a big difference between the two of them? They have similar dimensions, motor, battery, etc. They should be similar in flight shouldn't they? I'm still a novice and don't know a lot about these things. I own a Storm Launcher, Parkzone Cessna, T-28 and Typhoon. I haven't flown the T-28 and Typhoon yet. They are keeping my Blade 400 company since it hasn't left the ground since it crashed on the first day. I still want to buy a biplane and a warplane.

I suspect that there will be a considerable difference in the flight characteristics of the two planes. The Corsair will probably be harder to fly than the current PZ warbird: Spit, FW and Mustang. The gull wings are not conducive to steady flight at low speeds, so it will need to fly coonsiderably faster on take-offs and landings. It will be MUCH harder to fly than the T-28, which has become the standard for aileron trainers. There simply is no better plane for your first aileron plane currently on the market.

I think since the T-28 comes with the tricyle gear, it will be a little easier (compared to tail dragger of Corsair)...My suspicion is that anyone that has flown the T-28 will want the F4U (I know I do!)...The video of the F4U actually looks very stable at slow speeds...I noticed there is one really slow pass on the video on the Horizon site that makes the F4U look about as stable as the T-28!

I want one... looks excellent. I fear my trojan may take a back seat once I pick up one of those though - I have to say though if PZ came out with a spitfire or hurricane in the same league as the corsair/trojan I'd be all over that like a bad rash lol.

Not sure whether to get a starmax rafale first though, as it would certainly be a bit different to the trojan.

It all depends on your skill level. The T-28 gives you more margin for error and it is so pretty in the air. I love my F4U too, but it is kinda fugly and harder to fly/land.

This video shows some clips of me enjoying the heck out of my Parkzone T-28 Trojan taking off and landing on a dirt road in berry fields. I tried to do a lot of scale flight as well since this thing is so pretty in the air along with some basic stunts and tricks.

This was all captured with my new Sony Handycam, so there are some nice up-close shots of this plane in the air too
