plane size, weight, motor used
Hello All: I am building a flat foam f-22 pusher type plane. The wing span is 29", 36" long, and about 20-23oz battery included. My question is. I will be using a bp 2212/6 with 200+ watts electric motor and want to know if the "size" of the plane will work with this motor? I have used this motor to push my other planes including my styker, 48" wing etc. This plane just look bigger. Also prop used will be a 6x4 apc. This motor has taken my other planes to 85mph clocked at 18-20oz. Thanks for your help.

They have a simple fill in that will direct you to motor/battery/prop for this plane and any plane. It worked well for my Piper Cub and changing to a outrunner motor. You can check your motors ability to what they suggest.

Short answer is that your power plant will push your plane around but not likely at the same speeds as you have been seeing in lighter birds. It is well within the thrust range for that motor (Assuming you are using a 30 amp Speed controller and a 20c or higher capacity battery.)
