Default Parkzone J-3 Cub PnP help

I just bought my first PnP and am trying to figure out how to hook up the receiver (Futaba R146iP). Where does the connection from the ESC go (throttle, battery?)? I thought it would go to channel 6/battery or throttle, but which one? Do I need to connect in a switch, or just run from the ESC direct to the receiver? With the BEC built into the ESC, I shouldn't need a receiver battery pack, right?

Good questions! Just plug the connection from the ESC into the THROTTLE channel on your receiver. That connection will both provide power to the receiver from the battery and allow the reciever to control the speed control. No need for a switch, no need for an extra receiver battery.

While we're at it, if you're a newbie, make sure you plug the rudder servo into the aileron channel so you'll be steering with the aileron stick instead of the rudder.

Good Luck!

David
