Default Park Pilot (Parks)??

Hey Guys,

I am just looking around from Fredericksburg Va to Northern Va for Park Pilots. If anyone knows about any Parks in Northern Va that people fly there park flyers at please let me know. I'm always flying my plane by myself at local schools and parks near me. Looking for others to fly my plane with and maybe learn some new things from others. Let me know if anyone knows. Thanks Firebird

Firebird - sorry pal, but I don't live near you otherwise I would be there in a flash!!! But I have the same problem you have and I don't want to join a Club. Maybe there should be a thread for people looking for flying buddies in their region, even if it is a worldwide thing....people matching up in Scotland, Spain, anywhere in fact. Sometimes I miss the comeraderie etc that comes from flying and comparing notes with Buddies. Let me know what you think or how this could be achieved on RCU. Keep in touch mi amigo.....

I live in North VA, I usually do the same thing. Fly in local school fields and sports fields.
Here is my current plane line up.
Firebird Phantom
Parkzone Vapor, Cessna and Ember.
Currently waiting on my WattAge Cessna 180 EP to get here.
I am just a little over the beginner stage.
After I have put in some hours on the Cessna I will be interested in trying my first 4 channel plane. I don't know what it will be yet.

Hey Wheelnut,

Thanks for replying to my post. I am getting a little past the beginner stage, I still have a few things i need to work on i think.
Here is my Current Line up
Firebird Commander 2
2 HZ Super Cubs-(one is currently in the remodeling stage)
I have been looking at other planes also, but not sure what should be or will be my next plane yet. That's one reason why i would love to fly
around other park pilots, Where we could bounce ideas off of each other.

Hey Tam PoPo,

If i were near you i would come fly my planes there too!! I think a thread for everybody to come and post where they are and try and match up with someone in their area is great idea. I think you should be the one to start the the thread.

Excellent.
Now we just need to start planning before winter gets here.
Sunday is best for me because my wife and son are in school for 4 hours in the afternoon. I could actually take the whole day.
We can plan to meet at different locations on different occasions.
I have a really good huge field near me but alot of the time it has soccer players on it. There are two other smaller fields that are usually empty. Maybe you know of a good place near you or inbetween. Mabye we could start planning for next weekend. We will also have to keep a good eye on the weather and hope for a rainless/windless day.

Guys.....I'm going to try something to get this contact thread off the ground. What would happen if we all changes our 'signature' to, say, 'Glasgow Flying Buddies wanted'.....would the search facility pick this up or not. So I'm going to try it now and see. Can't list my planes - too many etc

Glasgow Flying Buddies wanted......

Guys......IT WORKS...!!!!!!! I'm going to start a thread called 'Flying Buddies Wanted'. All you need to do is put in 'Glasgow Flying Buddies' around the signature area at the end of your post, then go to the search facility on the Electrics Section and key in (using Capital letters for start of each word) and must be in the format of (eg) Glasgow Flying Buddies wanted - but using your area!!!!! Press search and it will bring you to the new thread I'm going to start that is dedicated to contact with other Flyers in each area. Cool.

Here goes......
