Default How dose this set up sound?

Slow Stick airplane $35.00
5Ch Micro555 FM DC RX 72MHz:FUT $58.00
JR FM Dual Conv RX Crystal 72.190 $19.76
Wattage PF-12 Park Flyer AC/DC Peak Charger $49.00
Skyborn RX Pack 1300Mah 7.2v w/WNIV Co $44.00
and a 72.190MHz 6ch Futaba radio, which I all ready have.

I would like some opinions on this set up seeing as this will be my first electric airplane.

The setup sound like a winner. Should get you flying in style real quick.

The only thing I would question is the Jr crystal in a 555 receiver. I'm assuming the 555 is Hitec. Better check this combination.

Default Crystals

If your receiver is a Hitec you should use a Hitec crystal with the same channel designation as your transmitter.

Don't know if you have someone helping you or not or if you have flown before but this is a big help.Free Flight Simulator

There is a model of the Slow Stick you can get to practice on.

Why don't you just buy a flight pack? I comes with the ESC , servos, battery, ect. If not then I would go with Hitec HS-55 Servos. I will try and find a link on the flight packs.

By the way I believe most are flying with at least 7 cell (8.4 V0 on the Slow Stick.

I don't know much about the batteries and put 1300Mah 7.2v on my list because I saw someone else had that on there slow stick. By all means Im up for options. I want a good battery that will give me long flight times.

Take a look at motor and prop and battey the big wing realy
helps a lot on the weight. But www.motocalc.com may help
some more also. CU
