Intended setup for parkflyer, reviews needed
Hello, y'all.
Anyway, here is the setup I want to get.
-Pico Cub or Stick,(somebody tell me which one to get and wether to get the "stick" version or the fuselage)-35.00
-Laser 4 FM radio system by hitec
Includes:
Feather Receiver
2 HS-55 Servos
600mAh Transmitter Nicads
Dry AAA Receiver Battery Box
A/C overnight wall Charger
...$114.99
0R:
graupner E-starter-70.00
same radio system(do I need bigger servos?)
The problem is, I do'nt know what kind of speed control and batteries to get, and wether these setups will work at all. As I have a bit of experience with electronics, I will probbably get one of the charger+battery combos that can be had on Ebay for ten bucks.
P.S.- what is the difference between a single and dual conversion reciver?

Everything looks like it will work OK. I have a Pico stick and have some fun with it. But watch out if you are in a windy area. It is light and does not like the wind all that much. I took the IPS motor off mine and switched it with an EPS-100 and beefed of the wings. You may want to look at getting a Slow Stick. It is supposed to be a much better trainer/ Flyer. And handels more wind. If you go with the Stick the an ICS-100
esc would work fine. If you go with a Slow Stick then you will probaly want an ICS-400. It will handel more amps and allow for a bigger motor later.
The E-Starter I is made by GWS (unless graupner has one to). I is supposed to be a little faster and also allow you to fly it as 3 channel. Then switch to 4 chanel later which is nice.

Teapot,
though the E-Starter is a good flying plane it is not the best pick for a first time trainer, the gws tigermoth or slow stick fly slower and need less room to fly in, they also are better at self recovering, if you make a mistake just let go of the controls, they "know" how to fly and will correct on their own, the E-starter is not as forgiving.
good luck,
