T-28 in silver?
Has anyone tried covering the T-28 with aluminum foil?
Want to change the look on the T-28 from drab Navy white to something else. Was thinking of using aluminum foil applied with spray adhesive on the T-28 but wondering about the added weight.
Any suggestions
Larry

RE: T-28 in silver?
Aluminum foil might JUST give your radio a bit of a problem (maybe) ! How about some nice silver exhaust manifold paint, or Krylon or something? Foil just sounds like a nightmare waiting to happen.
However, if you do decide to go ahead as planned, please post pix before & after the flight!

Since I am using the 72Mhz radio the antenna is on the outside of the plane (not like the 2.4Ghz). Radio reception should not be a issue.
I thought of paint but it just isn't the same finish. I was going to change the markings to the USAF scheme and there planes were polished aluminum.
I have used the chrome monocote covering on other balsa planes and it looks great but the heat to seal it may cause issues with the EPP foam.
