ParkZone T-28 Trojan upgrades..
What are the cool upgrades you have done to your T-28? I have read through all the posts and seen the evolution of the plane and there are a lot of things happening. Just wanted to see who has got it hopped up and tricked out. Whats the largest motor you have put in it?
Cheers.

I just want to say that my friend has one of these with flaps, and it is so cool. It can fly very slow. I must have one immediately!

Seriously... they are great.. and very forgiving.. even when its lands way too hard due to pilot error.. Not that I would ever do it on purpose..

RE: ParkZone T-28 Trojan upgrades..
I've donejust about everything I can do to mine except painting, mods as follows:
Eflite power 25
Castle Creations Phoenix 80 Amp ESC
Castle Creations BEC
HS65MG Aileron Servos
Flaps (Hitec HS85BB Servos)
Thunder Power Propower 2250 mAh 30C 4S Battery
Reinforced wing with carbon fiber rod
Scratch built motor mount.
11x8 APCe prop
Canopy mod for camera
DSR-30 Retracts
Working gear does.. nose gear door was tricky!
Ironically my Corsair is much faster with a Power 32 as I can spin a 13 inch prop but it has pretty has identical setup other than prop, motor and of course it is a tail dragger. The T28 I don't like to swing anything bigger than an 11 inch prop due to lack ofclearance. The 25 can handle 45 amp burst so works just nicely with 11x8 APCe prop to push a bit better than 650 Watts at about 47 amps. Plane flying weight with 4Sis now 3 lbs.
Here is a fewquick vids ofher in action:

As I was watching this and heard the chain saw's in the back ground I was waiting for Red Green to show up.
There is one more modification you need to add to it for fun is the Following:

I make these and sell them at swap meets and on Ebay.
If your interested in buying a set and the RC servo switch, PM me.
5mm lights, $15.00
8mm lights, $25.00
RC switch, $15.00

RE: ParkZone T-28 Trojan upgrades..
Hey Larry thanks for that but the link doesn't seem to be working. I have thought about lights but am out of channels with my 6i and ar6200. I would like to have that option on an independant switch. Of courseI could usejust use landing lights that I y inwith the gear... but nave lights would begreat aos. I have been waiting until I upgrade transmitters to the Dx7. I am almost out of model room on my 6i now so won't be long.

The link is ok, but I dont know what operating system your using. It is a windows .WMV file.
Unless the server was down for awhile. I just tried it again and it was working.
In your case just 'Y' the servo switch to the gear.
Let me know if it still is not working.

RE: ParkZone T-28 Trojan upgrades..
Thank you for the reply. I got the idea when I had a buddy buy a set off the internet. After looking at them they were just Radio shack lights and not very bright.
I started looking for brighter lights and found a 5mm and 8mm lights that when on you could read a book with them.
I have been making them and selling them for about 6 months now.
When I sell them at swap meets I usually sell out in about 2 hours. They are very impressive when someone watches me flip on the lights and come in for a landing.
They also really help when the sun is going down and the orientation of the plane is in question. If you don't see the white lights it's going away from you..
I did my first night flight about 4 weeks ago and it was something different, I never experienced that feeling of fly by lights....
