Parkzone UltraMicro P-51 wind tolerance
Hi,
I was wondering if this ultramicro should be flown only on a very calm day or if it can handle little wind.
Please let me know, how much wind can this little guy handle. Planning to buy one.
thanks

Tons of info here.

In short, it will handle a little wind, but it will be a battle. Especially since it is a high wing and VERY LIGHT.
I would say that it won't be fun to fly in anymore than 3mph wind.
Here is my experience. Pic doesn't include the micro P-51 that I have also.

Zsultan, before I made the mistake of adding carbon fiber to only the leading edge of my dandy P-51 Front Yard Fighter and added a little too much debris to its servos it was a real killer. I highly recommend it now that I understand its peculiarities. Some of my adventures and monumental decisions about modeling and really decisive issues about life transpired as a result of experiences with that little bundle of technology.
Observations about flying it in the wind are discussed on the this thread. See link below.

Modeling's rendezvous with destiny will surely be unstoppable when something greater than the narcissistic pleasure of an esoteric chosen few is adopted in modeling.
