Default Beware of Andy’s Hobbyshop

Just a warning to all co-modelers about Andy’s Hobbyshop (http://www.andys-hobbyshop.de/ ).

I ordered and paid through Paypal for a Multiplex Easystar and a Multiplex Merlin at this online shop (my first purchase from them). After payment I was informed that the Merlin kit they had in stock was damaged so they offered to send me the Easystar right away and the Merlin as soon as they receive a new kit.

After one and a half month of waiting I asked them to cancel the order of the Merlin and refund the money I paid for the kit (75euros). Since then they don’t even reply to my emails, they have not refunded my money, and of course they have not sent the kit.

Thus, avoid placing an order at Andy’s Hobbyshop, there are many other shops (at least in Europe) which hold these kits.

Sorry to hear about your frustration. To help avoid such problems in the future, get yourself a paypal account or start using credit cards to make purchases.

That's enough for me to never buy from them. Thanks

Wheelnut, in the original post he said he paid by PayPal.

TenTen, file a grievance with PayPal. I think you have up to 45 days to file one.

Sorry, I don't know how I missed that.
Yes, go to the paypal resolution center and start a claim. Escalate it right away to a claim.

Strange - i have bought a lot from andreas without any problems !!
Always good prices and fast delivery - have you tried to call them ?

Your case is off course not good, but i think there must be a good explanation from andreas.
