balsa profile
Hi this my scratch built profile i didnt use plans and it took 2 daysto build and cover, the wing span is 37.6 inches, and the weight without lipo is 500grams,its a pretty simple design, but its really strong and can handle the windier weather ,its got carbon in the wing and fuse and i used 6mm stick and solid balsa for the fuse and stab and elevator,5mm for the ailerons and rudder and thin ply for the motor mount, the landing gear is eflite apprentice, and the motor is an eflite 480 1020kv outrunner with a 12x6 prop the servos hitec hs65s and its got a turnigy k force 40 amp esc with a spektrum 6110e reciever and the lipos im using with it are turnigy 2200 3s and the covering is from hobby city,Ive got no flight video but it flys good and cause of the tall fuse its really easy for knife edge and really stable for harriers and hovering and does really cool looking tumbles and other spin and flip tricks ,the power to weight ratio is really good, any way this was about my 16th pr 17th balsa profile and ive made about the same amount of depron foamys, heres some pics.
