I have a 2wk old beaver and I thought how hard could it be to fly. I have never flown an airplane though and to my suprise it is alot different than my rc truck. Ithink its time for aclub so thats what I'm doing now. but my hats off to gws I was worried about crashing and crashing I'v done 8 times with only 2 semi successful flights this is a durable craft no major damage just a little reinforced packing tape and 5 min. epoxy and I am ready to learn from an instructor

Give some consideration to a GWS Slow Stick. Just $35 more dollars and it should be easier to fly. Also, all of your radio gear will drop right into the SS.

Use the 9x7 prop and you will find that the beaver flies much better.

try putting two wattage powerfan 400f ducted fans against the fuselage under the wing and run ten cells to them. the thing wants to go straight up.

thats weird. I was just putting my GWS A-10 together, and I thought how the old beaver would scream its wings off if i added a couple of ducted fans under the wings next to the fuselage, regeared the provided motor, and slim down to a shorter prop.

Did you realy put fans on your Beaver?

Wow, I hope you did the wing reinforcement modification they describe on the Horizon website. In a slight dive the wings on mine would start quivering. It really looked like they were made of water.

the wanna-be jet beaver

i had the entire wing covered in fiber tape and carbon fiber strips along the front of the wing. the wing still had the flutter effect on it though.i had almost a whole roll of fiber tape on the whole plane holding the fans on and covering the wing. if you were wondering the beaver isn't as aerodynamic as it should and when i would throttle it up it would just want to go up. i took the fans off and right now i am trying to attatch it to the top of my hawk like the soon to be released turbo hawk from wattage.
