Tracker III and buddy box/cord
Setting up a new trainer for students - what will work with the III as it relates to the cord and box (hopfully without having to take the time to go thru all my box o stuff until something works!)
I still think this is a kick ass radio - too bad Polk couldn't keep up [&o]
Cheers and thanks in advance if you have a solution

RE: Tracker III and buddy box/cord
I have A tracker III radio and use a trainer cord from time to time. The cord that will work with Futaba will work with Tracker III. Tracker uses the round plug, I think they call it a 5 pin plug) and the other end must match your buddy box transmiter. I have uaed it with round plug boxes and the newer small square plug boxes

ok thanks I will look for that one. I can remember some cords had weird pin outs - but round futaba is as basic as it gets

RE: Tracker III and buddy box/cord
I have been using a tracker III now for a few years and i hooked up a trainer cord to it today for the first time and it started beeping and the servos twitched with every beep. when i switched to the trainer box it beeping stopped. some channels would not work correctly on the trainer box. any ideas?

RE: Tracker III and buddy box/cord
For some reason I remember a thread regarding the futaba cable on the Tracker having a issue with the pin out, or maybe it was the 5 pin Hitec. Anyway, I assue you have your Tracker set for trainer mode and the RF is off on the buddy box.
