Default Range Limit

Does the Tracker II have sufficient power output to fly an rc glider at a distance of 2 miles. The average AGL would be about 1000 ft?

I haven't done that exact test, but I've flown using my Tracker in plenty of envrionments that should have shown up a weak TX signal if it had one. The Tracker's TX output seems to be just about the same as everyone else's. Besides, most range is determined by the quality of the RX more than the output power of the TX.

Thank you for your reply. I have been in contact with Mr. Polk and he quoted me one mile maximum range.

I've flown a 2 meter glider with mine and let it get as far away as I could possibly see it without problems.
I'm not sure one could see it for a distance of 2 miles unless it was a rather large glider.

Of course some guys eyes may be better than mine.[]
