New Tailwheel Giant Scale Must Have
Everyone,
I am proud to announce and hopefully you guys will agree and purchase what I think is the best overall solution for the tailwheel needs of most giant scale aircraft. Particularly those wanting a "Haigh Style" tailwheel for their composite round bottom airplanes. Especially since RC-Blimp has had its problems. We have made 10 pre-production for testing and just placed our order for the next 50 to be milled. They should be available at the end of next week. We plan on being around for the long haul and producing as many as needed.
This tailwheel has been designed to be used with a Titanium wire or an existing composite or other leaf spring arrangement.
Besides being high quality it just plain looks cool. Hot Rodders and Bikers pay big bucks for billet parts that are for looks only, this one also provides great function.
This all started because nothing quite suited what we were looking for when trying to outfit a Comp-Arf 3.0 Yak. The new White Rose wheel is very cool but uses a flat carbon leaf spring like so many others and that just does not look right on many planes. So we started down this path and made our own, and after much testing I feel it works just as well with existing leaf springs as the wire, and we are offering it as just the wheel carriage (yoke) without the wire as well.
Enought text.
I will post pictures below, but you can goto our website and get a lot more info and order one, (hopefully).
Check out the [link=http://jjtailwheels.googlepages.com/JJ_Tailwheel.pdf]3D PDF[/link], it is really cool. This is the production version. After PDf opens click on the image to activate 3D viewing.
Thanks John and John

RE: New Tailwheel Giant Scale Must Have
We hate to do this, however, as demand has increased we have had to change suppliers for some of our components. Therefore, we have to increase our price.
We wish we could continue to provide the tailwheels at $65, but given the amount of time and the increase in cost, it would not be worth our time to continue the production.
The new price effective 5/19/08 will be $75 plus S&H. Along with the added cost we have some improvements coming, and with any luck we will have these available at Joe Nall offering them for the last time at $65.
See you at Joe Nall. Stop by our booth Thursday-Saturday.
Hopefully, everybody understands.
Thanks

RE: New Tailwheel Giant Scale Must Have
THE NEW TAILWHEELS ARE IN
However, due to a manufacturing error we have a 30 of the traditional tailwheels, and a 70 of the Direct Drive units. We wil be announcing a couple of dealers in the next few days that will have several of the traditional units. We will only have 3 in stock for the next several weeks, but the dealers should have about 25.
These units will be the only one's with a flared area for the axle, all future units we had to remove this area due to machining difficulty, this will mean that they will use 2-56 set screws instead of 4-40. They will be marginally lighter.
These new units weigh 2.9oz for the traditional unit and 2.85oz for the direct drive.

RE: New Tailwheel Giant Scale Must Have
At Laaassst!!!!
We are now fully stocked on both Direct Drive and Traditional Tailwheels. The new traditional tailwheels look great, we had to remove the flared area around the axle (due to machining difficulty and cost) and switch to a 2-56 set screw, we went with a clear anodized finish that turned our really nice.
Thanks for all the support and patience.
See attached pictures of the Traditional Tailwheels.

Rod,
I believe we have a Tailwheel to help you out. We recently got some extra large carbon fiber that is super strong, our carriage is machined aluminum and we use a Dubro 1.5" aluminum hub wheel, which is very strong and I have never seen one come off the rim. I am getting ready to leave town for a few weeks, shoot me an email at [email protected] and we can work out the order. I will try and give you a call later today.
