Default Bobcat Elevator Servo Covers **Update**

I am in the process of making a mold for Bobcat servo covers that will cleanly cover 8411's or similar sized servos. These will be vacuum molded and will fit over the current servo pocket. I will be able to provide these covers at a very reasonable price if there is enough demand for them. My question is..... If I take the time to create the mold for multiple production how many would want a pair?

Thanks in advance for your response....

Hi Todd;

I will take a pair... It's a great idea. Will the design allow the servos to get attached (installed) to these covers using maple blocks??

WOW! Had know idea there was going to be this kind of response!! Ok.... No problem guys... These covers will NOT be sufficient to mount the servos to, they will simply be a cosmetic cover to aerodynamically conceal the larger servos.

keep the list coming....

Default Bobcat Elevator Servo Covers **Update**

Update:

Servo cover molds are made. I will now have to make some test runs of the covers to make sure they fit right. It will be at least a week before I will have them ready to distibute. Will keep everyone updated.

Default Bobcat Elevator Servo Covers **Update**

Update Again:

I thought I would be sending the molds out to a friend to have the parts vacuum molded since I dont own a vacuum machine. I had considered making one but decided It would be quicker to let someone that already had the machine make them up....
Well, As luck would have it..... I explained what I was doing to to my better half and amazingly, they have a small vacuum machine at work (she manages a orthodontic office) for making retainers. A quick call to "The Boss" and I will have the machine on Tuesday to start running the covers off..... We did have a chance to make two sets today with the machine and the molds were perfect....
I should have sets ready to distribute by the end of the week.
