RE: Tempest 3-d video
Is that the golf dome that you guys fly at? Some how it's not exactly what I had imagined in my head but I guess it works. Nice video by the way. What plane are you flying and is that paint on the plane? If so what paint did you use? I have a gray depron Edge that's in need of some color. I was thinking that yellow would contrast well on the gray.
I really cant wait until next Saturday when we have our first day of indoor flying. We are already expecting about 10 or so guys. I'll make sure we get some pics to post.

tailspinr, Yes thats the dome in Indy, It's kinda small as far as domes go, but it's still alot of fun. The plane I'm flying is the Tempest.

Its painted blucore, I used an airbrush with acryllic craft paint from Hobby Lobby. They also have waterbase spraybomb that works well, but it's a little more expensive. I dont know how well it works with depron, But I think it will.
Are you flying one of Jeff's planes, Ive got one coming too.
We are flying at the dome Wed. night 7-9 You should try to come, .... And drag Jeff up with you!

RE: Tempest 3-d video
Hey Sloanfs, it was really great flying with you guys in the golf dome.....even though I have never im my life seen more mid air collisions at any one event....much less a two hour event. I really had a blast.
This was my first experience flying indoors and even though I was personally involved in atleast 3 mid airs my plane came home in one flyable piece. But thats awsome and Im really looking forward to alot more of this new winter flying but I think Im gonna have to invest in alot of spares.
Hey that plane you have sure seems to be tough....I know I saw you take a good 3 or so direct hits and you just picked up your plane and threw it back in the air, while the other plane went back for CA and kicker........I know, I had one of those planes that collided with yours.
Im looking forward to your fly-in in January and I really hope you guys can make it down to our indoor event some time. I think Jeff may have taken atleast a few pics too before his digi cam's batteries died.
Show us those Pics...just leave out any that expose my wings crappy paint job.

Yes I got a couple pics before my digital camera battery died. It was fun last night, I am so looking forward to our fun this Saturday. Dave, email me your phone number again at [email protected]
Picture 1- Quique demonstrates on how not to airbrush a foamy wing
Picture 2- Quique shows us that even with a bad paint scheme the E Sledge will still hover
Picture 3- Same as 2
Picture 4- just a shot inside the dome

RE: Tempest 3-d video
I think everyone was worried about keeping their flight batteries charged, they forgot about the camera batteries.
Spinr...I hope you asked for a refund for the airbrush class you signed up for...or have you gone yet? If you have, dude...get a refund. I kid, I kid.
I should be gettin' my FlatFoam Edge soon...hopefully today...lemme borrow your air brush. I'll show you how to really screw up a paint job!
Jon

Dang, I was hoping for a pic of his inverted ProBro logo

See.........I thought I had successfully killed the batteries in Jeff's camera but apparently I didnt. Alteast not soon enough anyway.
And hey...that picture makes it look as if I was the only plane in the air. Where are all those other missles flying around that kept hitting me? I really do will Jeff had taken before and after pictures of all of our planes. That'd have been an interesting pic.
Hey Jon, I actually made the mistake of trying to use my stepsons Testors airbrush thats powered by a can of un-compressed air. I highly recommend that you not try this on anything that you might have intentions of showing in public!!! And to answer your question....I have not attended the airbrush class yet!!!

Dave.....I think that plane looks pretty good.....no , really good compared to mine. I'd be proud too....as a matter of fact, I thought all of the rainbow crowd was supposed to be proud!
J/K Dave.......I really do think your plane looks good. I promise my next paint job will look much much better.
Hey, you mean there was actually someone there last night that didnt fly????

RE: Tempest 3-d video
Dave I think your plane looks awesome..compared to some of the "other" planes depicted in this thread!!
I think YOUR airbrush work looks fairly nice.....others look like they used a kids toy with canned air, and the wrong paint!! Fly proud, BRO!! All you have to do is check out the "other guys" plane and hold your TX high!!

RE: Tempest 3-d video
Overspray!!!!! help me brotha..........dont you see what Im forced to endure because of my lack of ability to airbrush. Actually I hope you dont judge me by color of my paint...I mean paint on my wing. I honestly posess a little bit of talent with a TX atleast.....well I did say a "little bit". (more than Auger, thats for sure)
But you can rest assured that when I do recieve my Augeryak w/ OS paint job it will only be flown when Im sure its safe from other flying objects that may view it as a target
