Default New ARF, anyone flying it?

Hangar 9 has a new one called The Twist. It looks sort of like a UCD, Excite 90 kind of thing. Just wondering if anyone has any stick time on it. If so how is the build, and what is the flight performance like?

It looks like it will be a little heavy. It says 5-6 lbs which means 6.5 lbs. With 700 sq inch thats to much weight. Jim

Unless H9 is finally realizing that they should put accurate weights down.... I bet if you use light gear it would be around 5 pounds. The plane is right about the same size as the funtana, with a narrower fuze and shorter wing. Same wing area though. My funtana weighted in under 5 pounds, so I'm sure you get it down. Have to wait to see one though.

looks like it takes 100.00 for free shipping, so try adding 1 more cheap item you may need.
Good luck.

Wow, that looks really pretty. And the price is sure right! But that weight is silly! If it really came in at 6# it would be useless. I bet Lance is right, it could be closer to 5. How can they list a plane in that size catagory with a pound variation? I'd have to look around to see what the average spread is, but that seems huge!

Not really. I guess all FF planes in that size could "look alike" but I see LOTS more tail surface, and it looks like a thinner, taller fuse. That fuse should KE better than the SE and the large tail should 3D way better. Unless the weight is for real, then you'll need a Saito .91 to fly it well.

OH, and the price sure doesn't look like the SE!!!!!!!!!!!

Horizon Hobby is now saying Mid-April on the release of the Twist per their customer support personnel.
That sucks. Why advertise something that is not available for sale. Also their site says "out of stock", how can it be out of stock when it was never in stock?
