Paul I found that to be true on mine as well even though I did use 300 pounds of weight lol. Mine is not your design but I used the same way of sheeting. I think it is the sheeting that causes this but I could be wrong.

I'm thinking that part of the issue is the high humidity where I build... Sometime warp is a problem... other times it is not.... I sheeted mine at a 45 deg angle with the other side going the opposite way.. Might induce warp... I think I'll sheet the next ones longways and forget the 45 deg thing....

I to did the 45 degree offset on my sheeting. Next one I build will use CA instead of elmers. The slight warp is exagerated in the above photo, it really is a very slight bow. This after re wetting the fuse and bending it in the opposite direction while drying.
We'll see how it flies, IF I can find a set of mini servos to use...

ELECTRIC VERSION? - MAYBE
Paul - I was thinking of cutting an electric version of the Taco. The Taco is your design - right? I was thinking of cut one out of foam for an electric version (hopefully no wheres near the cost of Gator's electric )
What do you think? Let me know.

I might be able to grab a quick vid or two next time I fly, if this #$%!@#$ weather would quit!!!!! It would probably be this weekend at the earliest.

Taco .25 plans
I just finished reading all 10 pages of this thread...sounds like a GREAT plane!! I don't have room to build in my overly cramped, extra small, ultra-expensive apartment but I would be interested in a ARC if they are available. I have an OS 25LA just sitting around collecting dust. It flew my little ACE Ultimate pretty well (more scale then 3D) so I would hope that it would fly the taco fairly well (hopefully less scale and more 3Dish...)...anybody using this engine on their taco? If so, what are the results? Thanks for the help/information.

I think it would do okay on a 25la.... might not have a lot of poop to pull out of a hover.... but I'm sure it would work... I have a 2 1/2 lb pizza box that had a 25 la on it... hovered great... Sent you a PM on the ARC.

Flew my TACO today. I must say it flew prety well, this coming from someone who has never flown a fun-fly. I had to dial down the dual rates for normal flying, used flapperons.
Has unlimited vertical with the OS 32fx up front and floats in for a 3 point landing. Love it!! Now I need a bigger one
