RE: Burrito Showcase
Well the Hemi powered Burrito flew this afternoon (Satio .91) guys you might thik that motor is too big heh well it is but man what a rocket it balanced right on the money with no mods just the battery pack in the TE of the wing kinda bad windy today so not much hovering but its just a floaty and lands like a kite as my webra 50 powered one it kinda reminded me of a foamy with a Himax as far as vertical performance!! I think the new Satio .83 or 82 would be a awsome motor on this one

RE: Burrito Showcase
Dooh My eyes!!!! I hope I can still fly.
You sure have a bony arse as well as hairy.
Nair may be cheaper by the 55 gal. drum.
Seriously: I can't decide wether or not to round the edges on my Burrito. Do you guys leave 'em square? I'd like to start covering this weekend, if I can work it in as breaks for studying for finals. cram, cover , cram, cover.
This was a great building kit, I'll be happy if it flies half as well.

Rounding the edges would be a personal preference. I personally left mine square, but that doesn't mean that I always do the right thing! (Just look at my ailerons! ) Like they use to say, if it feels good, do it!

2 rolls of monokote covered everything but the elevator.
If only one of them was a 7' roll.
Talked my wife into stopping at the LHS on her way home from work. It's been real handy since she started a new job two blocks from it.
She's gonna get a pearl blue and pearl white flame job. (the plane)

RE: Burrito Showcase
Thanks Quicker,
I tried Matchlessaero's method of using mostly wood glue in the frame up. Except in some key areas. The wood glue fills nimor gaps nicely and sands great. Many claim it to be lighter too. I guess we'll find out soon. It was pretty hard for me to mess up framming something that was cut so nicely. Thanks Paul!
Don't know if I had the cam on the wrong setting or what, but the quality of the pic sux. My computer is ancient, so I have to rely on my wife emailing them to me from the office. Just got a call, and her email is on the fritz, so no more pics til tonight when she can bring them home on disk. I can't really figure out how to edit it in my system. If anyone has the time to clean up that photo, I'd be glad to send it over.
Thanks,

Thanks Pauly,
Here is another one. I think the lens was foggy, cause I had to go get the camera out of the car and bring it into the shop. Anyway, if this one is no better, I'll just try again when more covering is done.

RE: Burrito Showcase
This Burrito maidened Sunday, in Clinton MO. Six great flights. Not sure that I have ever had a plane that will flat spin as well as this one. I wan't too happy with the color scheme while it was on the table, but it does stand out in the air well.
Originally the blue and yellow were to be on the bottom, but I decided that I didn't want my digital servos in the burnt fuel residue, so I mounted the wing upside down.
Thanks Paul, it was an easy build, and flys great. I'm happy to have it in my stable

CP, that thing looks great. You did the flames like I had intended to in the first place. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my hands on the color I wanted for the accent flames.
Get us a pic of that thing doing the 9!
