I could not come up with anything to draw on this airplane. While I had plenty of colors I was all out of ideas. So this is the result.

Now that does give me an idea !!! I will do the opposite on the wings.

By that I mean leave the stripes white and color in the rest.

It is very busy on the eyes and most likely will not be missed by anybody.

Well I have since revised my thinking a little bit. When I started coloring this airplane I had all these colors and all I could do was stare with a blank expression at this white airplane with no idea of what to do. I had a ruler with me and I am not sure how but I just drew a line and then another and another and so forth to finnaly end up with a design that I really like.

Progress is going slow because of work and we are having some nice weather (ie I am out flying the E-Sledge).

For those of you who have been to the depron Alaska's site, the person selling those indoor kits lives almost next door to me (Small world). He has introduced me to pull-pull setup I really like. Here is some of the SLOW progress but i will keep you updated as we go.

From the chat last night it would seem that I am far behind in the arena of indoor foamies but I try to keep up.

Anyways here is the rudder setup.

Well more progress as to be expected, but then I noticed a potentially large problem. For some reason i had this creeping feeling that the airplane was awfully short coupled. After a little bit of staring and finally a check of the plans Sure enough, the nose is long and the tail is short. Should be interesting to see how well it will handle. I hope it flies well as the coloring takes more time than a foamy should have.

Well it is ready to fly but the wind is just howling outside so we will have to wait.

I ran into some interesting problems on this one. With the servo mounted in the tail, the leads from the motor to the reciever were to short. With the wing being too far back from the plans I had to shorten the nose about 1.5" to get the motor to reach. The wires are kind tight but they all went together.

It is deffinatly more short coupled than the sledge is which might make for some interesting waterfalls but I am affraid it will be to wiggly in a hover and just not fly right. We shall see tomorrow or maybe at midnight or so I will check the wind and see what we can do. Maybe try it in the living room before the kids go to sleep. Batteries are charged and ready.

I really do wish I could, I even have free travel from united, but after moving expenses I am wondering if my family will be eating at the end of the week. I have been working hard to remedy this and things look good for the future.

WOW This one is a feakin animal I like it. It has the most amazing rudder authority I have flown to date. It does take a light touch in a hover but with the right attitude (mine and the airplanes) I was doing tail touches off my nose, beautiful rolling circles, and a knife edge as long as you want. It does do one other thing I have not seen before/been able to do. It will flat spin very stable like in that you can power down and it will decend. Add a little more and it will just spin about a foot off the ground. COOL I have to get that one on video !!!
