Well for now I would have to say mine will be the World Models Super Stunts 60. That was one of the reasons of getting it anyway. Also with th 80" WS I can enter it in the Big Bird events!
Mine has been modified fo quad-flaps, and since it only weights 8lbs minus engine and gear, it has been a blast to fly so far.
So, you didn't mention what your favorite is?

I'm looking to get a fun fly kit or arf this winter to build or finish (arf). Some people have recommended the Sig Somethin' Extra and now alot have also said good things about the Modeltech Magic 3D ARF for 99 bucks. Anyone ever flow both of these and which way would you go between them?

I have had two SE's and a Dazzler, so far the Dazzler is my favorite. I don't consider either of those true FunFly airplanes though.
I am building a Tower Hobbies Extra Special right now, which will be my first "real" FunFly...Can't wait!
BTW-Those things are going for $30...Can't pass that up!

Well this is test to see if the picture in my sig shows up.
Now to answer this one. I haven't really messed with fun fly's to much but flew my friends Super Stick 40 and now have one. Also I have the Saturn Hobbies 'Oozlum Bird' which will be flying next year. You can check it out at my web page below my signature.

You are going to enlarge the surfaces right? By the looks of them they seem very tiny. Poor 3D.
Also, how is the fuse built? I remember reading on the tower site that it was just a hunk of plywood that was routed on the side. Did they change that? That solid ply would be very heavy.
Still 30 bucks is not bad at all!

Ths surfaces look fine...If I can't hover it is it my fault, not the size of the surfaces. People think hovering should be too easy...
Besides the the part of the fuse in front of the wing, it is all stick built. It went together great and it comes with some great balsa. I have everything done except the wing. Havn't worked on it for a few days though...I am trying to figure out where the hell the 2 center ribs go and just stopped and havn't gone back to it. I have been doing some work on my Great Planes Extra 300S...

I bet you'll love it! I had the Tower Fun-51, which is pretty much the same plane with a slightly different fuse shape. Powered with an ST 45 ABC, it was a blast! I let a friend fly it and he totaled it. I have another one headed for the building board soon.
As far as the Extra Special goes, the price is right! I bought one, but will buy another so I can cobble them into a twin-fuse screamer. --See this month's "Model Aviation" reader's photos for this same thing done with two Fun-51s-- 51+51=82

I never put my Fun-51 into a flat spin, but I did watch a guy at my buddy's club flat spin his Extra Special like crazy. No problem!

Fun Fly
The first and only fun fly I've owned is the Great Planes Dazzler. Pretty fun little airplane. It's nice to just throw in the car and go fly. You don't have to put it together when you get the field.

Fazer muffler
Paul,
it looks like I picked up a similar muffler that you chose on your Fazer. What engine is that? I chose the OS .32 SX.
The exhaust output on my Mac's one piece muffler is actually smaller than the stock muffler from OS. Should I drill out the hole? The muffler also is made for .25's, that might be one reason it is small.
thanks,
Kevin

Don't drill the orifice out... It's at the proper size for backpressure and resonation for proper operation... I just read an interesting article on engine operation as it relates to exhaust and the mousse can muffler.... check it out at: How to make a Mousse Can muffler

Hello Everyone,
I would have to say my Ultra Stick 40. I have an O.S. 70 fourstroke in it and it fits perfectly. It has the perfect mixture of stability and aerobatics. It is neat to come straight down with the quad flaps just off the end of the runway and land. I have even managed to do sort of a torq roll with it a couple of times. That's saying a lot for me.
