Yes the radio gear is mounted in the fuselage. Prototypes had the gear in the bottom wing however proper vertical balance of the plane requires the gear in the fuselage. The fuse is 7/8" wide inside the hatch area but if you look at the pics you can see the hatch perimeter is raised to add even more room. Both wings do come off and are secured with 4-40 socket head bolts at each cabane. The radio installation is very versatile and one can mount two or four aileron servos. Two are prefered and mounted in the top wing again for proper balance. Easily connected and disconnected for transport. Wires run through the center cabane strut.

ARFs will be some time though. We all know how previous promises of ARF deliveries have been delayed and delayed by both manufacturers and shippers. All I can sy is there will be ARFs of the 90 size Ultimate but only God knows when!
Thank you Mike.

YEP, Mike flew it SAT. I had stuff I had to do, but I drove by the base on the way to the stuff I had to do and I got to see it fly from outside the fence. It looked like it flew OK. It definately was easy to see. Ask Mike on the performance since he flew it. John

Woohooo! My Ultimate arrived today! Hardware pack the whole deal! Amazingly enough this only took 13 days to get here. Customs are such lovely people. Got the hardware pack for it as well so no more up and down trips to the LHS to look for parts they don't have in stock

I love all the laser cut goodies in the box...but yes there is alot of sticks to compliment those [:@] It definitely will not be an overnight build for me. But still I can't wait to get started.

Spacey that has to be a record for delivery there. Sometimes customs is fast and sometimes they are not.

Actually it's only six inches long and it's going on the new OMP Ultimate. That's if AFSalmon doesn't mind adding six pounds to the plane. You know, with his flying skills he needs to keep them lite as possible. Too heavy means he won't have time to recover.

Errr yes I need some wheel pants for my Ulti. Need to phone around again

Mike: You are absolutely right! It was a record delivery for something from the states. Seems customs were scared of the Ultimate or something.

Looks like I'll be making the new McNees trim scheme today for the Ultimate for AFP!

Have it done by tomorrow.

Ok John, just gotta do the checkboards. But it looks so sweet with the transparent covering under the wings that I'm just going to checkerboard the bottom wing and leave the top. The checkers will still be translucent.

Having fun on a Sunday!

Outstanding Dion, now that is one good looking plane. The guy that is responsible for that color scheme is definately a professional. OK, I feel better now. Anyway that does look great. Let me know when she's all done and ready for the download. Thanks for doing this one. I will have both wheel pants done today. Will you be able to get the pants on the sim plane? Let me know if you need any help from me. Take care John

Well the bottom of the wings aren't done yet, I'm waiting on some new mapping parameters.

But if you want Version 1, click [link=http://www.dioncini.com/newtrimv1.zip]HERE[/link]

Original trim shceme by John McNees. This is going to be the ARF scheme later this year.

Is it real?

Or is it OMP?

Good job Dion! I think the pants will finish it off. What are some of the mapping you are having trouble with Dion? Does it have to do with the transparent on the bottom?

John you better keep that hotty locked up good. Don't let her out of your site for one second! You know I will never be suspected for being involved with her dissapearance. What a kid living thousands and thousands of miles away will never go that far to steal a model now will they?

Hey Spacey, speaking of coming to the good ole USA. Have you ever thought about coming to the Toledo show sometime? Man you would have a time of your life. If you could get here, myself and the guys fromOMP would be glad to take care of your lodging while you were here. I know it's a long way from where you are but believe me, it would be worth the effort. Anyway thanks for the compliments on the Ultimate. It really turned out nice and the pictures don't do it any justice. We have 3 booth spaces this year at Toledo so we will have a lot of great looking planes on display. Oh yeah Toledo is always the first week-end in April. Think about it. Take care John Mc.

John the plane really does look great! I haven't figured out a color scheme for mine quite yet but there is a couple of ideas which I might be able to stitch together. But yeah nothing solid yet. I would love to go to a show like Toledo one day but quite honestly yes the money simply is not there. And well truthfully it won't be soon. Thank you though for the invite and the offering, maybe one day I will be able to take you up on that one.

Dion I'm still saying I can fit in a dog kennel! I just don't want to be stuck in quarinteen for too long LOL. The retract bay is also an option but heck I don't know how I'm going to survive the sub freezing temps for too long. A refugee?... well don't we need a row boat for that?
