Default Kat 40 elevator/rudder notch ?

So, notch the rudder to clear the elevator?

Actually there's an arc already cut into the rudder wood, but covered over so you can't see it. I had to enlarge this arc first couple planes I did, but on the third one I put a piece of tri-stock on the rudderpost so as to allow the rudder control horn to swing freely without jamming against the rear of the fuslage. Then set the vertical stab back to line up with the tri-stock and the clearance for the elevator joiner was just right.

STDUN there is a notch cut out under the covering, but it is nowhere big enough for the clearence needed here are a couple pics of how much I garved out of mine than just painted it. After first flight I moved the CG back from 115mm to 140mm just ahead of mid servo
