How to set up flaperons ?
JR computor transmitter, 537 servos, on a Kat 40. The manuel shows a little info but not what activates the flaperons and what controls the travel etc.? Any help out there ?

RE: How to set up flaperons ?
Your best bet is to go to the radio "JR Ask Danny" forum and do a search. Just put your model number and flaperons in the search and it will come up. It's been asked plenty.

RE: How to set up flaperons ?
-You need to select a Flaperon wing type on the Systen Set-up menu.
-Plug your right aileron servo into the aileron channel (ch2)
-Plug the left aileron servo into the flap channel (ch6)
-Go to the Functions Menu and set both sub trims (ail & flap) so the ailerons are centered the same on both sides.
-If you have the flap knob activated, dial it down and then set the travel adjust on each channel for equal movement on each side.
-If you plan to use elevator-flap mix as stunt flaps or spoilers, go to the elevator-flap mix page and set whatever percentage you want at first. It is impossible to give you an exact amount because every plane is different. I would probably start with 75% and set it on the Flap-Mix switch (up on the 3-position switch). You will have to fly and do maneuvers and adjust from there.
-With the Flap-Mix switch on, hold full down, then full up and re-check the end point adjustment. Move the side that travels the most down to the lesser side.
I normally turn the flap knob off on my 8103 because I don't want it to be accidently out of position when I take off. I am not good at checking knobs and such.
Hope this helps you.
