Thanks for this Dave - really interesting stuff. I was thinking that my next profile model's wing might also have this easier-to-make aerofoil shape, but perhaps not after all

The one I'm currently using is straight or flat from the apex of the airfoil back to the TE. Then curved normally to the leading edge. I'm currently doing a project for an OS .32 which has a 12 in chord (w/o ailerons) 3 inches from the thickest part of the airfoil to the leading edge. I've found 3 inches covers perfectly with a 4 inch wide sheet. Interestingly, i used the same formula for the 120 sized one in the harrier/hover pic. It worked fine. Actually great. here's a picture of the .32 I'm getting an error message. I'll post it later.
