Don't know if there is a best engine. At least not one that you will get much agreement on. Sort of a Ford - Chevy thing. What one guy loves, the next guy hates. The Saito 100 is a popular 4 stroke for the Mojo 60. Lots of folks are using two strokes, mostly 90s but some 60s too.

i understand what you mean by ford vs chevy. so let me hear what your opinion is then on the best (easiest to work with) motor and servos are. price is a deciding factor on what i choose, becuase i dont have a lot of money. 4 stroke or 2 stroke? 60 or 90? maybe just tell me what you are using for your setup?

The Saito would be my choice, but it is not the cheapest. IMO Saitos are easy to work with, but four strokes are a more complicated design than 2 strokes. The SuperTigre 90 is about half the price of a Saito and would be a good economical choice.

My Mojo 60 is sitting without an engine. Right now my Saito 100 is in a Kat 70 that I thought would have bit the dust long ago. My flying time has been limited this year and the old Kat keeps hanging on.

If you look around, you can find a good used Saito. I'm gonna power a Mojo 60 with a Saito .91.

I have standard HoTec 535 BB's and an old OS 91 stroker running 30% and it is just great.

One of the cool things about the Mojo's, you don't need super trick gear to make it fly better.

I am not even running a Lipo or 6V on the Mojo, just a 1100 mil 4.8 pack and it rocks.

If cost is an issue, skip the 4 strokes. A ST90 is a great engine, low cost (around here, anyway), lots of power, light and easy to run. Mine runs beautifully on 5-10% fuel and will hand start every time. As a bonus, the factory quiet muffler is actually quiet and doesn't choke the engine off in the process.

I have a Saito 91 in mine and it puts out plenty of thrust for the plane. I have a UCD46, Mojo 46, Burrito and Mojo60. I like the Mojo 60 best at this point. I am going to move my YS 63 from the Burrito to the small Mojo when I get a chance. I have an OS 46fx on the Mojo 46 now and it pulls it vertical OK.

Boy are you in for a suprise. I took a .46 AX off of my Mojo and replaced it with a YS .63fzs....what a difference. Now I'm looking for another YS .63 fzs.

as far as the engine goes.....i had a saito 91 on the mojo 60 and thought the vertical was ok. then unfortunately the mojo crashed and i ended up putting the 91 in a 40 size OMP edge....... man, what power and the weight was within the recommended range and it flies like a foamy. what i'm trying to say is go with the lightest and the most powerful engine you can afford.
i think the saito 91 would be the bare minimum. i just ordered the 40 size mojo for my 91

My Saito 91 cranks out 10 lbs thrust, the Mojo weighs a shade over 5 lbs. I really do wonder what people do with more power to weight than that.

i think u just have to fly and see how much fun it is to fly with that kind of power
BTW i'm all for "lighter the plane the better it flies"
