Allrighty then! I really can't wait to get my hands on it now. I even went to the LHS and got some of the mentioned hardware that is needed for this thing. Are any of you using flaperons and what are some of your set ups ie: expo, mixing etc. THE BALSA DUST IS GONNA FLY ON THIS ONE!

there $60 plus shipping. around $70 to you door. theres no hardware in the kit but they do come with the landing gear and tail joiner now. Nice wood...builds fast and lite.

Here is mine. I first bought a kit at a Chicago Show two years ago. I flew it so much, I needed a new one. I finished this one last month. I struggled looking for a good engine combination. I started with a Thunder Tiger pro 46 with a Ultra Thrust muffler. This was not bad. I went to a Rossi 53. Too many rpm to get needed power. I tried a OS .61 still not bad, but not enough low end. I then tried a YS 63 and man that is the perfect combo. I swing a 14 -4 APC wide blade. I have a 2 to 1 thrust to weight ratio. I can hover at 1/8 throttle. It will hang on the prop of what seems to be about 3000 RPM. No two stroke will do that. This plane with a 46 and pipe is great, but if your budget can take a ys 63: your socks will blow off.

I flew my OMP Edge for the first time yesterday. I was not disapointed! It took off within 15 feet and only needed 2 clicks of aileron to fly straight and level. The plane hovers EASY, flat spins were really flat, super tight regular and knife edge loops. Flew it 4 times and was really happy with the performance.

Have you noticed that NOBODY EVER has a bad thing to say about the OMP Edge? I sure cant. I have two of them. i have been beating the snot outta mine for more than a year, it doesnt owe me a nickel. Thats what fun flying is about. After going through a few rudder servos, I moved to a hitek 605. IMHO, its really needed. Stock servos in the rudder and elevator just beg for disaster. Not worth it. If I could find something better to fly I certainly would.

I was going to scratch build a second when I get mine finished. But I think I will just go ahead and order a second kit with another set of J. Williams CF landing gear. Don't know if I'll keep it for safe keeping or put it in the air too.

I went ahead and scratch built my second one. After all there is not that many parts all ready cut. One modification I made on the second one was in the fuse. In stead of sheeting it with 1/16 balsa, I sheeted it with 1/32 ply. Weight is about the same and it is much more rigid. I also went with a split elevator in this one. This allowed me to use two Hitec 425's that I already have. I have trouble with slop in the torque rods anyway. This set up give lots of servo power and no slop. I then placed the rudder servo closer to the wing and inverted it for a pull - pull set up. I used a good JR 90 oz servo for the rudder. This has turned out to be a great set up.

Does anyone know the difference between a skin and a bag? What is the skin made of? This may get me to order another one, rather than scratch the next one.

Jiede, Picture attachments have a limit to number of picsils (how the heck do spell that?!) anyway, i think it is limited to 700 x 700. Most Photoshop type programs will allow you to resize the picture by dots per inch, phisical size, and Piczels high and wide.
Keep at it, i'm sure folks would love to see it
