I'll jump in here, 'cause you can't keep me from jumping in.
I fly the MVVS 2.15 gasser with pipe. Same as the EVO, but with a red head. My 80" OMP Edge weighs 12# on the numbers with a tuned pipe. Can't stress enough the need for the tuned pipe. I fly, generally, a Zinger Pro 22 x 6 prop, but also fly a 20 x 8 (can't remember the brand) as well. Very similar rpms static. Both turn about 7250 to 7500 at 900' msl. The 22 x 6 has better initial pull out and great braking. The 20 x 8 is almost as good on initial pull out, but definitely better on vertical speed after about 10 feet of climb. I prefer the inflight speed of the 20 x 8, particularly in knife edge.
I would rate pull out authority as good, but not spectacular. Can't do multiple up line snaps without stopping, but can keep going straight up from the stop. Hovers with confidence. Tail touchs without worry and no hiccups. Touch the tail, hit the throttle and fly away. It really is a strong engine for 35cc.
I have about 160 flights on this combo and really like it. The engine is heavier than a DA 50 and is really not in the same league. It is a smooth running engine and the airframe handles the weight very well. It simply floats in for a landing. If you already have the engine, I can't think of a better airframe for it. The OS 1.60 might be the best match for the airframe, but it is glow.
All in all, a very good combination. I'd give it an A-minus. I'd like about 20% more power and more precision flight from the airframe. However, it 3D's decently, hovers with ease, and does the prettiest, slowest landings of any gasser you'll fly.

Fully agree with Doug on this one. The tuned pipe is a must. I fly a 20x8 Bambula.
I have 30+ gallons through mine, and still going strong. My favorite plane by far.
The Giant Yak is a little nimbler than the Edge, but both are great planes and tons of fun.
