Default stick control question

Hi,can anyone tell me if its easier or better to fly 3D with two fingers(index and thumb) per stick or is using only your thumbs the way to go.Im learning 3D and using my thumbs but i find i sometimes slip of the stick.Dont no if the height should be adjusted or if i should learn using 2 fingers per stick.

Whichever way makes you comfortable. I find it impossible personally to get to the corners quick enough using pinch. So yes I fly thumbs all the time and use the programming on the radio to help me out with the precision stuff by using some more expo blah blah. Oh and yes I use very short sticks because I don't need to pinch. Just get sticks with nice and sharp teeth on top or something. My fingers don't slip off at all but the sticks need to dig in.

It is personal preference. There are expert pilots in both camps.

My personal preference..is the pinch on the right stick (ele/ail)because one cannot afford a slip of the stick on the deck......and thumb on the left (thr/rud) because slippage on this stick usually isnt that critical!

You should learn with what method ever makes you feel comfortable, and in total control of your bird at all times
