Greetings!

Those are some fine looking planes, I especially like this Quizzical (great name, as well!)

Please post some more pics of some Russian planes, pilots, and flying. Sounds like you guys are using quite a bit of composites, I'm sure the guys here would like to hear more about that as well.

About composites... Hmmm... These guys ceep secret. Like a spy
About Qizzical: this plane avaliable only in ready to fly plane. Design and manufacturing by Valery Makovetsky from Moscow. All parts (even all spruces) laser cutted. Cjvered with oracover (tm). Engine various: OS-es, saitos and yamadas.
About russian fun-fliers: look here http://technosport.narod.ru/gallery/gal.htm

http://www.avia-rc.boom.ru/photo.htm here click on links

Basically we scratch builders. Others is a lot of great planes, old CG kits, SIGs, Top flite, Hobbico, Lanier,Robbe and Grauper (all from Tower). This year planes of aeroworks have appeared. Radios: Futaba, Hitek and JR.
In Moscow hovering only 5 pilots. 3 pilots went in May to Liechtenstein to Wolfgang Matt on training. Year as have appeared jets. Of course all this about hobby people not of sportsman.

Thanks for the reply and the links. Looks like we have similar interests here and there. There is a "Composites" forum here on RCU...not quite as secret as spies

And I see you are a Profile Brother! I am #219. You need to get a Morris Sledge in Russia, you would be a celebrity!

Thanks! Brother!!!
I want scratch build OMP GS Edge. Plans in progress. I`m interesting tail surfaces parameters of this plane. E.g. tail span, chord (root & tips), tail area, elevators area. If you send me these parameters i had gratitude for you.
My project has lot of modification as compare with OMP GS. E.g. foam core fuse, wing console w.out centere section, foam core flat stab & fin. I plannig plane weight under 10 Lb.

About spies: these guys work on Sukhoi aircraft plant and use technologies from genuine Sukhoi planes (26, 31). They use multicomponent (18 components) adhesives, high temperature processes and highly poisoned acids hardeners for making CF composites . These compounds not avaliable for hobbie building. Commercial cost of this plane wery high (3.0 - 4 kilodollars).

That's a nice looking plane there...

Are there CAD plans floating about I could get my CA saturated hands on?[

Default Cobra REBORN!!!

Hovering Cobra Reborn. Tossed the old fuse and made my own. Removable wing. I made the rudder to big but She flies great. Unfortunately I lost the great Hovering capability (hands off hover) I have to stay on the sticks to keep it TR. Kinda looks like a magic, Ya think?

Hey guys, came across this thread in looking for plans, didn't see any uploaded.  I have a kit that I picked up with some other bits and I would like to know if anyone has a set of plans that would be available to buy or get scanned?  I would be happy to pay for the plans.

Thanks,

Dave

Hi folks, first post here!
These are my first and second planes. I learned to fly on the red one (and after many hours on Phoenix Sim). It was a prototype, I based on the Mojo 40 dimensions but adapted some characteristics (larger area, thicker airfoil). I didn't make plans, just a template for fuse and cutting foam cores.
Yes, I learned (and I'm still learning) to fly on a 3D bird...
