Default Profile Plan to start 3D.

Hi All

I have been looking around for a plan to scratch build a Profile 3D plane -- to kick start my 3d flying. I have 46AX for the project, all the plans I come across are Electric Foamy! Can anyone suggest a place to download profile 3D plans..

Thanks

Sawan

I suggest you just get a Burrito kit. It has plans, wood already cut , hardware, etc for about $70 plus shipping. It will cost that much to scratch it unless you have a shop full of balsa and time you need to kill cutting ribs. See Swanyshouse.com. The plane is a good 3d trainer, 4 lbs, rugged - I have been flying them for a couple of years. Then move up to a Mojo 60 for great 3d plane.

The Fusions are hot too...
you have the 40 size and although its not considered to be a beginner you would love it...
After all a 3D airplane by nature is not a beginner airplane and I find the Fusions very precise and comfortable to fly.

Just my opinion.

if you can wait a little bit, I will release a plan for a Profile 3D plane very soon.

good call on the Burrito. If you like to scratch build, you really owe it to yourself to try and design one on your own at some point. Just use existing designs as a guide in terms of moments, area, etc and change it as you like. I'm talking about following for example the size of the horizontal stab in relation to the wing. Just to be sure you get something that will fly. With each new one you build try something a bit different. Over time you will end up with something that is truly your own. From this will come a great sense of satisfaction.

Since trying this my basement IS full of balsa. There's nothing I like better than to start cutting "the next one."
